Sprint HTC Evo View 4G Gingerbread Fix Enhancements

HTC Evo View 4G on June 24th has been launched, together with that Sprint in cooperation with HTC today has released an update on this device, and if you buy this device now or tomorrow maybe you’ll still find your device using Android Eclair. Because of that, once you buy this device, you must do the OTA update manually if you want to feel the sensation of Android Gingerbread update. I am a bit confused why they do not perform updates before the device was officially launched, so the user does not need to update manually.

Sprint HTC Evo View 4G Gingerbread Update Fix and Enhancements

Update today will bring some enhancements and improvements include: Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread), fix the error messages which notify us with error notification “mail has stopped unexpected”, and then fixing issue in Google’s Navigation and Google Maps. And there may be some Evo View 4G users who would rather disappointed with this update because it features a video chat in Google Talk will be eliminated, and will probably be applied in the next update release.

Before you perform an update I suggest you to check you device version, it can be done from your Home Screen and then tap Menu >> Settings >> About Tablet >> Software Information. Software version is shown below Software number, if your device is up to date it will shown Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) – 1.22.651.1.
