Galaxy S Official Gingerbread 2.3.4 update in Q3

Last week Samsung announce to bring android 2.3.3 (gingerbread) update to Galaxy S Family (Captivate, Fascinate and Vibrant) for Canada later this summer, but time is rolling so fast now Samsung is working on android 2.3.4 update and this update only for original version of Galaxy S (i-9000). No word for exact date when it’s available around the world, but according to Samsung Europe this update will available for all users on Q3 for all country in Europe. Best luck for European Galaxy S users.

Galaxy S Gingerbread 2.3.4 Update Improvements

Gingerbread 2.3.4 will bring several bug fixes and enhancements for Galaxy S device, such as support Google Talk Video and Voice Chat and video calling will enable over UMTS network. Video call support on Google Voice Chat maybe is most awaited features in this update, you now can make video call on 3G or 4G networks instead of just using WiFi connection. If you want to make video call in Galaxy S but your phone only have first-release gingerbread update or even froyo you can use Skype for Galaxy S instead of Google Voice.
