Android on Touchpad to be Realized by Cyanogenmod Team

Android on Touchpad Tablet from HP maybe is going realized soon, as CyanogenMod Team announce that they have successfully porting Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread (CM7) into this device. They have been working hard in this project and seems it made a good results so far, they already make a good progress by including tablet tweaks on their latest build. There’s still any issue with the touchscreen and they will give more attention to fix the Touchpad’s touchscreen driver.

How to Install Android on HP Touchpad

You already know that Touchpad running on WebOS, to make it work with Android OS CyanogenMod Team develop a multiboot solution, so HP Touchpad owner will be able to boot into WebOS or Android (CyanogenMod 7), they said multiboot solutions is absolutely possible to be implemented so end users don’t need to remove their previous OS. No word for release date from developer, so you have to be patient as this will require more time before Android on Touchpad turn into reality. HP Touchpad already available in July 2011 for $499 (16 GB version) and $599 (32GB) features 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processor, so once CyanogenMod is ready for this device, it will become a powerful Android Tablet.
