A Developer from xda forum successfully port Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) SDK to work for HTC Desire Z, that’s sounds great right ? and also you can expect this port to work with T-Mobile G2 smartphone as they has similar hardware specifications. And another good news is the port successfully booting into the phone, but the touch screen isn’t working at all. I think too early to expect everything works, since the developers has just starting to porting it and this ICS port is alpha stage, you can try it with your own risk.

If you have more time to wait, it’s better to wait official release, or maybe waiting for CyanogenMod (CM9 Build) for your HTC Desire Z or G2 smartphone. With 512 RAM and 1.5 GB/4GB Internal storage your android phone is meet minimum speca to work with Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 update.
