Android ICS 4.0 has announced by Google last week and SDK also available but I’m still curious if Samsung’s first android tablet device Galaxy Tab P1000 will get Android Ice Cream Sandwich update just like another tablet device such as Motorola Xoom or Asus Transformer. As we may know, there’s no official Honeycomb update for this tablet, a developer from xda-devs forum also trying to port HC SDK but nothing happen until today, maybe the project has been abandoned.

Galaxy Tab P1000 ICS Ice Cream

Google says that if your android device is compatible with gingerbread it’s mean you may have chance to install ICS update, that’s statement give us a hope and hopefully this happen to our lovely Galaxy tab p1000. We need to wait until google release the ICS source code, and then let CyanogenMod Team or other devs port it to our tablet. I think the original Galaxy Tab will meet minimum requirements to run this update since it has 1 GHz Processor and 512 RAM.
