Android ICS has released last week and a developer with username siulmagic from xda and rootzwiki forum port ICS SDK to T-Mobile G2 / HTC Desire Z and then successfully boot it. So, any chance to port Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 to Motorola Droid Bionic ? I think it’s very possible as Bionic is new released android smartphone and powered with high-end hardware, so it will work with no problem. Motorola on facebook said that they will announce release date of Bionic update only after Google releases ICS final version or you can also wait for CyanogenMod Team released CM9 build.

Port ICS Droid Bionic

Port SDK to work on your Verizon Droid Bionic smartphone is hard work since it created for devs to build, test android apps, etc. Bootloader on Bionic also still locked, so it’s more complicated to see Android ICS on it, but it doesn’t mean Bionic can’t run custom/ported ROM since there’s a lot of device with locked bootloader get ported/custom ROM, maybe only need root access. Once ICS 4.0 source code released by Google you will see many port floating around.
