Will Motorola Droid X also Get Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) Update ?

It’s still debatable that Motorola Droid X will get Ice Cream Sandwich update or not ? Gingerbread update might be the last official update from Verizon for us. We hope Google’s acquisition of Motorola will make Droid X has chance to get ICS upgrade someday, if we can’t get it from Verizon we can expect get it from CyanogenMod Team once they releasing CM9 build. Are you wondering if your Droid X compatible with ICS or not ? Google said that if your android smartphone already running Gingerbread it’s mean your phone will able to run Android 4.0 ICS without problem.

Motorola Droid X IceCream Upgrade

Motorola DroidX released in July 2010 and might categorized as a old phone, but it has powerful hardware inside such as 1 GHz Processor, 512 MB RAM and PowerVR SGX530 GPU. That’s more than enough to run Ice Cream Sandwich Update. We should wait after Google release ICS source code and we will see what the developers do with our Moto Droid X. And if you want to get official Android 4.0 update from Motorola and you can upgrade to faster, thinner, stronger phone – Motorola Droid Razr for only $230.
