HTC Thunderbolt Successfully Boots Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS)

Now it’s time for HTC Thunderbolt to get Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) SDK port, twistedumbrella a developer from rootzwiki now attempting to ports not only from Android 4.0.1 SDK but also combine it with Nexus S dump. The developer said that this port is boots successfully into his Tbolt, not only that the graphic acceleration also work since Adreano EGL Drivers is compatible, and also power, volume buttons, all lights and sensors works too. But this custom ROM isn’t ready yet since the touchscreen still not working, but if you has unused HTC Thunderbolt you can download and then flash it with your own risk.

We still have no idea if HTC Tbolt getting official ICS update from Verizon or not, these android smartphone released in March 2011 and deserve to get this updates, if so you need to wait until next year. If you tempted to feel ICS sooner, you can download this SDK port or waiting until Google release the source code and then you will see a lot custom ROM ready for your Thunderbolt. We will let you know once we find a stable release.
