ICS ROM for Samsung Captivate Ready for Public Testing From Teamhacksung

Last month we have talking about chance for Captivate to get Android 4.0 upgrade, and today the chance is greater although not an official, Teamhacksung has been porting ICS to Samsung Captivate and Galaxy S. The developer said that the Ice Cream Sandwich ROM is ready to public testing, since this firmware is very early versions you will notice a bugs. This ROM has several known issues, so make sure you read it, and after that you can decide to flash it or wait for stable version. Here are a lists of major known issues:

  • Laggy UI (User Interface).
  • Video recording fails to work.
  • Laggy video playback.
  • Can’t take a photo using front camera.
  • Several camera options make your android phone force closed.
  • And some minor issues.

Samsung Captivate ICS ROM

This ROM is recommended for developers or advanced users, since this ROM still in development stage and requires root privileges, custom recovery, etc. If you already flashing Samsung Captivate with CM7 you may be will not get a problem to test this ICS custom ROM.
