Finally after waiting for a long time today Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) source code has been released, and now ready for download in Android Open Source Project (AOSP).

This is not only a good news for developers for developing apps for latest android build, but also for the android phone owners who believe they will not get the official update from their carrier or manufacturer, such as 2010-released smartphone. Now if you not sure you will get official OS upgrade you can waiting for CyanogenMod Team release CM9, according Cyanogen twitter status now they starts to work on CM9 build, and you have wait for about 2 months till the ROMs is ready to try out on your android smartphone. While waiting now you can prepare your phone by gaining root privileges or S-OFF for HTC devices.
