Motorola has officially announce that they will offer ICS update only for Droid Razr, Motorola Rarz, Xoom and also Droid Bionic. They don’t have any confirmation on another’s android devices. And what about Sprint Photon 4G, I think this phone should get Ice Cream Sandwich official upgrade since these phone was released in June 2011 and powered with high-end hardware 1 GB RAM, 1 GHz Dual Core Processor and GeForce GPU, that’s more than enough to run latest Android OS.
Another news coming from xda-devs forum, a member show screenshot of chat session with Motorola Support, the reps said that our Photon 4G will not get official ICS, but after that Motorola Forums Manager give clarification that the screenshot given does not mean Mopho 4G will not get these software upgrade. If you can’t wait until Motorola rollout official ICS for our MoPhon 4G, you can try custom ROM such as CM9 build which based Android 4.0, but they will not work until Google drop the source code in mid-december once Galaxy Nexus available in the market. We will keep inform you once we find any update on this topic.
