HTC Vivid get an early ICS (CyanogenMod 9) update, only for advanced users and devs

After purchasing Vivid from AT&T recently, now you may very impatient to experience the latest Android 4.0 upgrade on your android phone, but the truth is you have to be patient, although it has been confirmed to get the update but up to now there is no exact date when HTC Vivid will get Ice Cream Sandwich update. But there is good news for Vivid users who love challenges and have knowledge to modify their Android device, a dev from xda with username thecubed successfully port and boots CyanogenMod 9 on HTC Vivid.


Until this post was written CM 9 ROM remains not ready for download, the dev is still waiting until alpha 6 stage, when ready to download he asking for help to aid debugging. For now, several features have been reported to work at AT&T HTC Vivid such as lights, touchscreen, vibrate, buttons, USB debugging and simple graphics function. This ROM is absolutely not ready for Dialy usage, if you prefer to use a CyanogenMod ROM you can wait until development is complete, and novice users are advised to wait for official update from HTC.
