Galaxy S Captivate Glide ICS

After released in November 2011 with AT&T, until now there’s no word when Samsung Captivate Glide will get ICS (Android 4.0) update from Samsung, although these Android phones (which also known as the Galaxy S Glide Rogers – Canada) is capable of running the Ice Cream Sandwiches smoothly, since it has a robust hardware specifications such as 1 GHz Dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and dedicated GPU.

The confusing part is whether Samsung i927 Captivate Glide is variants of the Galaxy S or Galaxy S II, many folks say that these phone is definitely a variant of the Galaxy S when checked from hardware specification, but there are also some users who say that these phone might be the Galaxy S II line, even with a slight difference in processor and display. As we know, Samsung won’t provide the official Android 4.0 update for all Galaxy S variants and made a decision to focus on some of their latest phones. So, if we don’t get official OS updates, our last hope is to install a custom ROM (AOSP or CyanogenMod 9). And for those of you who feel difficulty when installing a custom ROM, you can consider to buy a Galaxy S II skyrocket 4G.
