When you get an Android phone a few months ago and now starting to get bored with the look of the launcher, you may be interested with this news. Five devs from XDA are currently working to build Skydroid, an advanced user interface inspired by Windows 8 ‘phones user interface (Metro UI), and suitable for users who want to feel Windows phone but doesn’t want purchase it.

This UI is different from the common launcher which you currently use or are available in Android Market, since Skydroid will be equipped with additional applications such as dialer, email, player, gallery, camera, file manager, launcher, settings, etc. which based on Metro’s UI theme. This advanced UI will be available in March or April 2012 for free but with ads, paid version also available for only $ 1.99/year, the price is fairly cheap for those of you who want to experience Windows 8 Metro UI. If you can not wait to feel the Metro UI on your android phone, try to install the WP7Home theme launcher and several other applications for free here, and if you have more money to spend, you can donate it to the devs.
